The Document Foundation has released LibreOffice 5.3. Calling it one of the biggest releases so far, Foundation has labeled this release as a big step forward.
LibreOffice 5.3 comes loaded with many new features. There’s a new text layout engine, a revised Help menu, and better export/import features.
Also, the office suite comes with new Microsoft office-like Ribbon UI called MUFFIN, which stands for “My User Friendly & Flexible INterface”.
The suite word software, Writer, now supports Table Styles. It’ll preserve the formatting when you’ll make edits to the tables. There’s a new Page Deck in the sidebar for accessing and customizing page settings.
In Calc, there’s an addition of new default cell styles. Also, a new text entry box allows the user to easily find the functions.
Also, Impress now loads with template selector for a quick start. A new Slide Properties is available in the sidebar.
LibreOffice 5.3 available for download for Windows, Linux, and macOS from the official website, libreoffice.org/download.
